TheZoom H8 recorder adapts to your needs thanks to its three dedicated functions for music, field capture or podcasting. With its 8 available channels and its interchangeable microphone system, this model will meet your needs every time!
Touchscreen interface, 3 modes available
From the Zoom H8’s touch screen, you can select one of the three modes available to meet your needs: podcast, music or field. In podcast mode, take advantage of the Sound Pads to customise your broadcasts by finding pre-installed sounds or adding your own from an SD card.
The music mode is practical and efficient for recording a group, offering the possibility of mixing, overlaying and improving the sound. Finally, the field function is ideal for outdoor recording, conferences or any other environment. Find level meters for each track, set input type, low-cut filter, compression and limiter.
Interchangeable microphones
With its interchangeable capsule system, the Zoom H8 recorder offers extensive functionality. Included with your H8 is the XYH-6 X/Y microphone for stereo capture using unidirectional microphones that can be rotated 90ﾰ or 120ﾰ.
Additional (optional) microphones are available to further enhance the potential of your recorder. Easily enhance your recordings with the built-in effects. Features include compression, EQ and limiting controls, as well as a low-cut filter and tuner mode.
Professional performance
This Zoom model is capable of recording in both WAV and MP3 formats up to 24bit/96kHz and features automatic time stamping for optimal use in post-production (BWF compatible). The Zoom H8 has 4 XLR inputs with attenuation switch and gain control and 2 mixed XLR/Jack jacks with Hi-Z switches. The latter will allow the connection of an instrument or a microphone.
There is also a line output and a 3.5mm headphone jack for monitoring purposes. In addition, a USB port allows for quick file transfer, firmware upgrades and use as a 12-in/2-out audio interface for computers.
