The QNAP TS-873AeU-4G 2U shallow rackmount NAS offers 8 2.5″/3.5″ bays, 2 M.2 slots for SSD caching and two 2.5 GbE LAN controllers. It features an AMD Ryzen V1500B processor (4 cores/8 threads) which is able to boost the performance of virtual machines. It is also scalable with up to 64 GB of DDR4 memory and offers a PCIe 3.0 8x slot for adding functionality via an expansion card.
