The most important thing about autofocus is that it’s reliable. Thanks to its phase-detection autofocus, the Lumix S5II is able to recognise and follow the subject in particularly difficult scenes where multiple subjects are involved, ensuring accuracy even in backlit or dimly lit environments.So you can be sure you’re shooting professionally.
The Lumix S5II ‘s active image stabilisation lets you shoot hand-held with complete peace of mind. Because it determines the camera’s shake status and optimises correction ratios, Active Image Stabilisation can compensate for even severe camera shake – around 200% more than conventional systems.
Heat management for unlimited recording time
The Lumix S5IIX lets you record your new videos in ALL-Intra or ProRes 5.8K on SSD via HDMI or USB. You’ll benefit from efficient, uncompressed post-production. At the same time, you can take advantage of RAW Apple ProRes to Atomos Ninja V+ video output via HDMI for the greatest possible dynamic range during colour grading. With the S5IIX, you can still enjoy unlimited recording time in 4:2:2 10-bit C4K/4K 60p/50p.
The S5IIX ‘s compact body and optimised structure dissipate heat very well, enabling long recording times even when shooting in demanding formats.
The new processor developed in partnership with Leica (L² Technology) ensures even more realistic colours, improved responsiveness and finer resolution, as well as a natural three-dimensional effect. Combined with Dual Native ISO technology, it effectively suppresses noise, even when shooting at very high sensitivities, and reproduces dark areas magnificently.
Intuitive handling
With the Lumix S5IIX, you can stillrecord photos and videos with internalLUTs, without any special software. Even if you don’t have any specific editing skills, the camera lets you expand your field of expression as much as you like.
This camera, with its new ‘Full Black’ design , can be used in a wide range of weather conditions. Its tough, cast magnesium alloy body and waterproof joints, knobs and buttons make it resistant to dust and splashes.
The knobs and buttons are intuitively arranged throughout the casing. The 8-way joystick lets you select the focus area quickly and efficiently directly with your thumb, for fast shooting.
