The NH-D15 Chromax Black is Noctua‘s flagship model, theworthy heir to the legendary NH-D14, from which it draws its inspiration, and continuing its relentless quest for silent cooling performance. This ‘all-black’ ventirad , built around two finned blocks, is Noctua’s most cutting-edge model. It’s specifically designed for overclocking enthusiasts and silent users looking for a premium ventirad that’s as beautiful as it is efficient. Thanks to a more open heatpipe design and the integration of two top-of-the-range NF-A15 140mm PWM-compatible fans (for automatic speed control), it further improves on the performance of its famous predecessor, the NH-D14. Double finned block design and wider radiator
Compared with traditional monolithic radiators, the NH-D15 is built around 6 heat pipes and two finned blocks, offering a larger heat exchange surface, better heat distribution and maximised air flow thanks to the use of two fans.
Compared with the NH-D14, the NH-D15 ‘s radiator has been enlarged (150mm compared with 140mm for its predecessor) and the heat pipes have been spaced further apart, ensuring more uniform heat distribution over a larger surface area. All this contributes to the NH-D15’s improved performance.
Maximum RAM compatibility and dual ventilation
Thanks to its low recessed fins, the NH-D15 offers 64mm of available space for high memory modules in single fan mode, making it compatible with most high-end memory modules on the market. When using both fans, the NH-D15 generally requires the use of standard size memory modules (maximum 32mm).
The NH-D15 is equipped with two high-end Noctua NF-A15 140mm fans. Meeting the Noctua AAO standard and benefiting from aerodynamic design optimisations (such as Flow Acceleration Channels), the NF-A15 has earned an excellent reputation as one of the best 140mm fans on the market.
PWM compatibility and Low Noise Adapter (L.N.A.)
The top-of-the-range NF-A15 fans supplied with the NH-D15 are PWM compatible for automatic speed control via the motherboard. In addition, to further reduce noise levels, the fan speed can be capped (from 1500 to 1200 rpm) using the Low Noise Adapter (L.N.A.).

Noctua SecuFirm2 mounting systems have come to embody quality, safety and ease of assembly.
