Noctua’s NH-D12L chromax.black is a 120 mm CPU fan that is 13 mm lower than standard 120 mm models, combining cooling performance and silence with increased case compatibility.
In single fan mode and thanks to an asymmetrical heatsink, the NH-D12L chromax.black stays away from the RAM slots, offering full compatibility with AMD AM4/AM5 and LGA1200/LGA1700/LGA1851 configurations. The NH-D12L chromax.black is equipped with the renowned SecuFirm2 mounting system and comes with Noctua NT-H1 thermal paste. It’s the ideal choice if you’re looking for a high level of cooling and your configuration can’t accommodate the larger NH-U12A.
Better case compatibility
While Noctua’s 120mm CPU fans are traditionally 158mm high, the NH-D12L is just 145mm. This design allows it to be integrated into 4U racks or tower-type cases that are too narrow to accommodate taller fans. It is also compatible with certain SFF (Small Form Factor) and mini-ITX cases.
Extended RAM compatibility
With its asymmetrical design, the NH-D12L chromax.black does not encroach on the memory slot area on Intel LGA1700/LGA1200/LGA115x and AMD AM4/AM5 motherboards, guaranteeing easy access to modules and full compatibility with RGB models or models with high heatsinks.
