- Max. TDP (Turbo Power): 241W
Cores at work
Intel’s new high-performance hybrid architecture integrates two core families into one processor for a smoother gaming experience. Intel Thread Director prioritizes and manages workloads by determining which core is best suited for each task. Performance cores are designed for unique, low-thread count workloads, enhancing activities such as video gaming or productivity tasks. Efficiency cores are optimised for multi-threading by reducing interruptions from secondary tasks.
Reach new heights
With high frequencies, achieve high performance in games. Confidently take on your opponents or explore new worlds with a revolutionary processor architecture that focuses on what matters. Intel 12th generation processors are simply designed for the next generation of gaming.

This processor is a real revolution in the field. I switched from a Ryzen Threadripper 1950X to this one and the performance on 2K is really exceptional. I’m even limited by my RTX 2080 in games (no longer youthful but still a great card for gaming). If you can afford it and pair it with new DDR5 RAM you will be happy for sure.

This is my second opinion on this product, it comes after a few weeks of observation which will confirm my first feeling. It is really impressive. Finally I add that with the automatic OC proposed by Asus on its Strix cards, I manage to get a boost on all P-cores at 5.5 ghz. I know that each chip is unique and I probably picked up a good one. I also assume that it can’t maintain such a frequency for too long, but it’s still impressive.

I’m not going to worry about whether it will run the latest video game or not, I’ll see a lot of new generations of processors before I have to change it. Coupled with a Noctua fan, in PWN it’s quiet in office use (~300rpm). In gaming use I’m running around 55/65°c at 600/1000rpm. I’ve been using it for a while now, but it’s not as quiet as my old desktop PC and more powerful than my old gamer PC. I was finally able to reconcile the 2, it was just unimaginable a few years ago.

Great for MFS coupled with a 3080ti it sends out the pater Heats up no more than that with a WaterCooling and the heat wave For gaming just the top of the line not finding any games that make it bend Score 3DMArk 18 057

Very good processor coupled with a 3080, with a slight preference for the Ryzen 9 when it comes to multitasking, but when it comes to gaming I’m sticking with Intel!

Really very (too) powerful. I wanted a configuration that would last (as much as my old 10 year old configuration) and I think I will not be disappointed. All I need is a good graphics card and the system will be outstanding.

Best gaming processor of 2021. Think about cooling it properly with a suitable AIO or something… Speaking of cooling, I’m a bit surprised that at over 700€ Intel doesn’t provide any cooling system with the processor, which in my opinion deserves 9/10.

Excellent processor, very powerful! No worries on the processor, just the temperature, take a good watercooling. My processor is mounted on a MSI MAG Z690 Torpedo DDR5 motherboard with 32GB of 4800MHz ram coupled with a NZXT Kraken x73 for cooling and it’s just, excellent! In games, set to ultra with an RTX 3080, the processor does not go above 60/65 degrees Go ahead and close your eyes!

The only problem is that a bug with the Denuvo technology in some games detects the processor as another PC when you switch from an E-Core to a P-Core. Some work has been done but the bug is still present on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla … and apart from being a very good processor it is still very hot 74 degrees with a NZXT Z73 I looked at several Bench and apparently it is the processor that is like that…

I went from a platform equipped with an I9 7900x (10 cores 20theads) which was an excellent processor that I had managed to overclock to 4.5 Ghz but which still managed to throttle my RTX 3090; to this brand new architecture and there I understood how far I’ve come since 2016 (date of purchase of my 7900x)… It’s amazing.

I’m happy to be the first reviewer of this new processor, just amazing performance I highly recommend if like me you want a pc in disproportion!
