The Flex-Fit Trio MB343SP is a unique 3.5″ to 5.25″ front adapter. At first glance it looks like a simple 3.5″ in a 5.25″ rack, but it does much more than meets the eye. This device that uses only a 5.25″ bay allows the installation of 2×2.5 inch HDD/SSD and a 3.5″ bay without tools. The Flex-Fit Trio MB343SP pushes the limits with its unique features and ingenious mechanics. You get a well-made adapter that is robust, flexible and multifunctional at the same time.
Flex-Fit SystemOne of the most unique features of the Flex-Fit Trio MB343SP is the FLEX-FIT system, which provides users with a superior level of flexibility for 5.25″ adapters that only an Icy Dock product can offer. The Flex-Fit Trio can store a 3.5″ device or hard drive but also 2×2.5 inch HDD/SSD, IDE or SATA from 7 to 9mm high. This is both space efficient and cost effective as you will not have to buy multiple racks. |  |
 | Screwless installationThe installation process for the enclosures and hard drive is very simple. Simply slide it into your 3.5″ slot until you hear a “click”, which means the device is in place and locked. For added security, side screws can be added. For the 2.5 inch HDD/SSD slots, it fits any 2.5 inch SSD or hard drive, requiring no tools and screws, with a 7-9mm self-adjusting tab to hold 2.5 inch hard drives in place. The 3.5″ bay can also take any 3.5″ hard drive or SSD holder, simply slide it in and secure the drive with the side screw holes. Also, if you decide to install a 3.5″ hard drive that does not have a front I/O interface, the slots will not be left exposed. The back plate is designed to be easily removed, allowing the front slot to be inserted into the enclosure so that it blends into your system. |
Flexible constructionSince the 3.5″ bay can accommodate a 3.5″ hard drive and a 3.5″ device simultaneously, there are many mounting options to choose from. For example, by adding the ToughArmor MB992SK-B, it will allow the placement of two internal 2.5 inch with two external 2.5 inch hot-swaps. By adding the MB290SP-B, it will give you access to 4 2.5 inch slots. The MB343SP is also USB 3.0 compatible, card readers and fan speed controller. High-end designThe Flex-Fit Trio MB343SP is designed with the utmost care to ensure that the product is as efficient and reliable as possible. The use of solid open plastic provides excellent durability and passive cooling which reduces the risk of mechanical failure during use.
