High performance and efficiency
Thanks to its flawless design, theEaton 5P UPS allows you to achieve up to 98% efficiency, as heat dissipation is reduced, you save energy instantly! When running on batteries, the 5P provides a high-quality sinusoidal signal, ideal for powering sensitive equipment, such as servers with active PFC(corrected power factor).
Adjustable tolerance: users can extend the service life of the battery by extending the input voltage tolerance(via the display or software) to adapt the UPS to a specific environment(generator set, for example).
Ease of use
The new graphic LCD display provides clear information on the status and measurements of the UPS. The 5P measures the energy consumption of connected equipment globally. These values(kWh) can be managed via the LCD display or Eaton’s Intelligent Power Software suite.
In the event of a prolonged power cut, load segmentation allows the least necessary equipment to be switched off, reserving battery autonomy for essential equipment. This function is also used for remote reboot and sequential start-up of servers.
The 5P has serial (RS232) and USB communications ports, as well as a free slot for an optional card(SNMP/Web network card or dry contacts card). Eaton’s Intelligent Power software suite is compatible with all major operating systems, including virtualised environments such as VMware and Hyper-V.
Flexibility and versatility;
The 5P is available in tower or rack format, for an unrivalled power density of 1.1 kW per 1U.
To prolong the life of the battery, it is managed by Eaton ABM technology, which recharges the battery only when necessary, preventing corrosion and considerably extending its service life.
The batteries can be hot-swapped without having to switch off the connected equipment. Thanks to an optional maintenance bypass module, you can even replace the complete UPS.
