The central element of your hi-fi and home cinema system, theDavis Acoustics Ariane C2 speaker is designed to be combined with other speakers in the Ariane range from Davis Acoustics. This handsome speaker is a 3-way model with 4 drivers. Compared to its smaller sister (the Ariane C centre speaker, which is simpler in design), the midrange driver and tweeter are on the same vertical axis, which makes listening less directive. As a result, listeners hear dialogue more clearly, even if they’re not sitting perfectly in line with the speaker.
Davis expertise
Equipped with two cellulose membrane woofers, an aramid fibre midrange and a cellulose tweeter 20 mm in diameter, this centre speaker is perfectly homogeneous with the Ariane 5 or 7 columns, to obtain a coherent soundstage.The Davis laboratory has worked to obtain a very linear efficiency curve, to avoid emphasising one part of the frequencies to the benefit of another. This ensures long hours of listening without auditory fatigue.
The speaker is fitted with non-slip feet that tilt the speaker slightly backwards. As well as providing an aesthetic effect, this aligns the start of the coils of the two loudspeakers with the vertical plane. This improves sound propagation.
