The AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor powers this portable gaming console. Based on the latest 4nm etching technology, this APU incorporates a Zen 4 architecture processor and RDNA 3 graphics. Equipped with upscaling technologies such as AMD Fluid Motion Frames and Radeon Super Resolution, the Ally X can increase refresh rates while maintaining excellent image quality. Choose from three different operating modes to balance performance and power consumption, from silent mode (10W) to performance mode (15W) to turbo mode (25W) (or 30W when connected to mains power).
Full HD 120 Hz touchscreen
Featuring a 1080p touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate, high brightness of 500 nits and FreeSync Premium support, the ROG Ally X’s 7-inch screen is a joy to play with. Thanks to its high brightness, the ROG Ally X clearly displays the action on screen, even in difficult lighting environments. What’s more, the Corning Gorilla Glass DXC coating reduces surface reflections while increasing hardness, for greater scratch resistance. Reduced glare means you can follow what’s happening on screen in bright or outdoor environments.

The ROG Ally X is designed to let you play anywhere, so it needed the right thermal solution. This console features specially designed heatpipes to operate with maximum efficiency regardless of orientation, and a new third exhaust duct to help keep the motherboard and screen cool. Both fans feature a fluid-bearing design, a proven system that will keep the Ally X running at peak efficiency for years to come. The fluid-bearing fans also have low friction, even when used in non-traditional orientations, so you can hold the Ally X in any direction without worry.
Elegant, ergonomic design
To provide a comfortable user experience, this ASUS handheld console benefits from high handles, slim macro keys and flat surface angles that provide easy access to all buttons for a better gaming experience. The chassis has a non-slip design at the rear, for a good grip and greater stability. As for the look, the RGB colours around the joysticks add elegance and work with games supported by Aura Sync, so you’re even more immersed in the action. These joysticks also benefit from a durable design and offer comfort and precision.
