Thanks to customer service for the explanations regarding the application of thermal paste on the AM5 processor (1 of 3mm diameter in the centre and 1 smaller at each corner, i.e. 5 in total). The ventirad is a NH-U12A chromax.black and the CPU just exceeded 90°C during a one-hour OCCT session (which is normal. 40°C at rest.

Very good processor, good value for money. There is no game that stands up to it, I am pleasantly surprised.

Processor bought 3 months ago but completely unstable and heats up at the drop of a hat, not to mention its consumption. paid more than a non x just for the heating I would have liked at the time of my purchase that one avoids stealing to me, I had asked council with a salesman ldlc in Angers but which sold to me at the higher prices whereas it is worse than one not x just more expensive d ‘ailleur I made confidence with this salesman for all my new set up and it avendu me of the articles more expensive for nothing, therefore it is not salesmen they are just to enrich ldlc Here is my set up and comment ryzen 7 7700x ( cauffe et consomme et plus cher que un non x pour quasi autant de preformance) asus rog strix b650a gaming ‘(frankly for the price it is distressing) watercooling asus rog strix lc2 360 mm ( alors la il arrive a peine a refroidir le ryzen 7 7700x et coté silence faut pas compter sur lui en gros bruyant et refroidis tres mal et la encore conseiller par un vendeur ldlc

I’ve just done some extended tests with Cyberpunk 2077 set to full, and it’s heating up nicely even though it’s not being used the most, easily reaching 70° or even 75° even though it’s barely running at 35% of its capacity. Once the game is switched off, the temperature drops back to around 30° in a second (it’s at rest). I cleaned it and put some thermal paste back in but no change (maybe the venti rad is too low, which wouldn’t surprise me). Apart from this big rise in temperature on a “big game”, it runs without a care, even when running lots of things it doesn’t exceed 50% use.

Processor that allows you to play great games without any problems, regardless of the power required.

I wasn’t expecting this much performance from an 8-core processor. On all games this processor doesn’t exceed 20 to 30% while the graphics card (4070ti tuf) reaches 90% usage. I think that the 5.4Ghz boost frequency helps it rather well. On the other hand, it heats up quite a bit and easily reaches 90 degrees.
