After careful assembly, it didn’t work. I downloaded a new version of the BIOS for my MSI B550M PRO-VDH board from the MSI website, put the BIOS on a blank USB stick, plugged the stick into the MSI board’s ad hoc port and it worked. The online manual of the MSI card details the procedure well.

I’m coming off an i5 7400 cooled by an antec 240. I decided to switch to AMD for the low power consumption and power, which were my criteria. Accompanied by a B550m pro, a corsair 120L watercooling with 16 gig ram Textor and an RTX 2060. I am very satisfied with the result and have no regrets! Thank you LDLC?

The performance indicated is there, the processor does not heat up too much and I did not encounter any bugs or crashes once the PC was initialized. The delivery is secured at the LDLC shop in Poitiers.

Switching from an Intel i7-8700 to this Ryzen 5 5600G. I opted for a processor with a graphics chip to anticipate a future change of graphics card. Coupled with a B550M motherboard, 32GB of RAM and an RTX 3060 Ti, this processor does the job extremely well. On the application side, I feel a real jump in performance on Photoshop. I’m not sure if it’s the same as the B550M, but I’m sure it’s the same as the B550M, and it’s a lot better than its predecessor. The original fan does the job very well, so I didn’t install a more expensive fan or even watercooling. No surprise, very good processor.

The processor (installed in a tower desktop computer) is working perfectly so far (already 3.5 weeks of operation) and I have not noticed any particular noise from the included ventirad (wraith stealth). No crashes to report.

I bought this processor to replace the old one in my PC bought 5 years ago from LDLC. Very satisfied, as described. Easy and rather quick to install. Compatible with my MSI motherboard and upgraded to Windows 11. No problems since 1 week. Thanks to the advisor who helped me in my choice :)!

For the time being, it seems to be quite effective for basic video editing (Pinnacle Studio 26), even if it doesn’t have the ‘speed’ of a dedicated graphics card.

Great processor for those who would not want to buy a GPU. It works perfectly, the Ryzen 5 models are now well established and outperform the blue competition. I got a bit carried away when I bought it because an X version would have been more suitable for the use and especially due to the fact that I obviously have a CG, but well taken by the emotion of the “brand new” … I don’t regret it at all, because it handles everything in the gaming and office domain very well!

I recently upgraded my PC to the AMD Ryzen 5 5600G, and I have to say that I’m very happy with my choice. This processor offers incredible performance for the price. Whether I’m doing everyday tasks like browsing the web, writing documents or even streaming high-definition video, the Ryzen 5 5600G comes through with flying colours. Its processing speed is impressive, and I appreciate the fluidity with which it handles several applications at the same time. What I particularly like is its ability to run light games without a hitch. Of course, for more demanding games, it can sometimes show its limitations in terms of graphics, but for someone like me who mainly plays older or less demanding games, the integrated iGPU does a decent job. It allowed me to put off buying a dedicated graphics card, saving me money in the process. As far as power consumption is concerned, I’m pleasantly surprised by its efficiency. My PC stays cool and runs quietly thanks to the included heatsink. However, if you plan to push the processor to its limits with overclocking or intensive workloads, you might want to consider a better cooling system. Installation was straightforward, although I did have to update my motherboard BIOS to ensure compatibility. But once that was done, everything worked perfectly. In terms of value for money, I think the Ryzen 5 5600G is an excellent deal. It offers impressive performance for the price and is perfect for those who want to build a versatile PC without spending a fortune.
