The PCI-E LP (4 USB 3.0 port) controller card allows you to add 4 external USB 3.0 ports to any PCI Express compatible computer system. The SuperSpeed USB 3.0 standard provides up to 5 Gb/s data transfer, while being backwards compatible with USB 2.0 devices at 480 Mb/s. Using a “stacked” port format that positions the ports on top of each other, it is possible to fit more ports into a smaller space.
This card allows the 4 USB 3.0 ports to be in the front, while still allowing the card to fit into a compact/small footprint computer system. In addition, with an integrated SATA power connector, each USB port can provide up to 900mA to host bus powered devices (500mA for USB 2.0) when connected to your computer’s power supply.
Supplied with a small footprint/half-height bracket, this card is a versatile solution that will fit into either standard or compact computer cases.
