There’s nothing wrong with it, this processor is just perfect, with the right watercooling and overclock it’s a war machine.

Very high quality processor, it performs very well, but it heats up a bit, so I recommend watercooling.

Very good for my needs. The only drawback, but it’s my fault, I didn’t study the description very well, there is no graphic core. So very good for those who don’t need an integrated graphic core.

I’ve never been a fan of AMD, except that I wanted to try it out and I’m happy, for the moment it seems much more stable than my old Intel.

I bought this Ryzen 5800x a bit out of spite, as the 5900x were sold out everywhere (or at abominable prices), and my old i7-4790k was starting to show serious signs of fatigue… Performance-wise, not much to complain about, rendering Classroom under Blender takes about 6:30 (compared to about 20 minutes with the 4790k), which is slightly less than the GPU rendering of my GTX 1070. But I would have preferred to get my hands on a 5900x and its 4 extra cores, for more room for virtualisation

Compared to my old, ageing processor, it’s very efficient, but I can’t say any more than that, the price is acceptable, it’s very easy to install, and there’s nothing to complain about!

Very good CPU that fulfils its promises, but remains between two chairs with the 5600x for gaming and the 5900x for applications. It’s still a good value and a good product. It’s a good value and a good product, but you need a good cooling fan because the temperature can rise to 80 degrees and more quickly. My advice: disable the CPU performance boost in the BIOS, which causes temperature spikes without any real need, set the frequency and undervoltage. With my Aorus elite pro v2, I set the frequency to 4.4GHz for 1.1V without any problem and I stay at 65-70 degrees max for a resonable performance loss.

Simply excellent for am4 gaming. On the other hand, it does get a little hot, but that’s the price of performance.

After a lot of research and reading I fell for this product despite the reputation that it was quite hot. Took it to switch from a 3rd gen i7 which worked very well Used mainly for gaming but not only (3D creation), excellent performance but above all heats up quite a bit, I had taken an AIO and I had to use Grizzly – Kryonaut to obtain correct charging temperatures. I recommend it for the performance, but to associate with a good cooling system.

I’m not expert enough to rate this processor, I trust LDLC’s advice in this area, and I can see the difference with the previous one (Ryzen 7 2700X). On the other hand, no doubt to amortize the price increase, there is no longer a fan delivered in the box. It is true that in most cases this is replaced by a more sophisticated product.

This processor is a very interesting leap in performance if you don’t want to invest in a new AM5-compatible motherboard. As a former owner of a Ryzen 5 3600, the gain in productivity and video gaming (20% on average, or even more depending on the situation) is well worth the investment.

For my 105 TDP Ryzen 7 5800x processor, I opted for the 3-fan version, and I don’t regret it. With a good setting in the BIOS to modulate the power of the pump AND the fans, I’m able to remain passive on most games, with the radiator dissipating its heat solely by convection. Once the pump has been properly set, it’s absolutely inaudible, but the fans are a different story. You absolutely have to set them right in the BIOS, because if the RPMs go through the roof, it’s bound to make a lot of noise.

5 stars for the product (really much more powerful than my old 3300X even OC at 4.6 GHz), the service and the almost immediate availability. On the other hand the price…. It’s 100€ too much at the time I bought it, and now it’s really getting out of hand. But I still recommend it if you buy it for less than 550€. It’s still cheaper than an Intel configuration when you see the price of motherboards

I switched from a Ryzen 5 3600 to this one and the difference is obvious. With a 3060, on Valor I went from 300-400 fps max to 800-1000 fps max with graphics at their lowest and on Red Dead Redemption 2 with pretty good graphics I went from 70 fps on average to 100 or even 110 fps. To conclude, if you have a good ventirad, at least a 3060 and 16GB of ram, you won’t be able to do any better at AMD.

Processor purchased to replace a first-generation Ryzen 7. This Ryzen 7 5800X is at least 70% more powerful in benchmarking tests. That makes a big difference when you’re often compiling C++ programs. Set to 105 watts (the default mode), it nevertheless heats up a lot (?) when you run large programs for a long time. The processor is much quieter in ECO mode (65W). The motherboard I have (a Gigabyte B550 Gaming X V2) allows you to put it in this mode by selecting a simple parameter in the BIOS. It then hardly heats up at all, while losing very little power (just a few percent in benchmarks). I’m extremely satisfied with it and I’d highly recommend it for an upgrade to an AM4 platform.

I don’t know enough about them to write an in-depth review, but all in all, I’m very happy with this purchase. My system runs very well, and games run without getting too hot (Diablo IV being the most demanding in my collection, I’m relying on it). It’s a good product, if you put an efficient Ventirad on it.

If you are lucky enough to get a Zen 3 processor, you will understand the title. This family of processors allows for absolutely incredible single core speeds, outperforming Intel in the gaming world today, and with less power consumption. The R7 5800X is the middle ground in the family between the “affordable” R5 5600X and the powerful R9 5900X. It has enough cores to be an excellent workhorse processor while still being very good at gaming. If you can cool it down enough, this monster will boost single core to 4.9GHz quite easily with AMD’s PBO 2. And if you’re lucky, you’ll be able to go over 5GHz at a relatively low power consumption. If you’re one of those who want to overclock this processor (at the risk of losing the warranty) be aware that AMD has pushed these chips to their limits and unless you have some crazy cooling solutions, you won’t get more performance. If you really want to get the most out of Ryzen, invest in high quality RAM first. One flaw is still notable, as with the previous generation of Ryzen, this processor tends to require somewhat high voltages making it sometimes heat up for nothing. In the end, this processor is crazy and if you really need raw computing power without being able to buy an R9, this R7 is quite interesting. The price is still a bit high at the moment though and I think an R9 3900XT might be an option for most.

It is a real heat factory I advise you to lower the voltage of the vcore to 1.26, 1.275V to have acceptable temperatures (below 80°C what) while keeping an acceptable boost frankly for 100€ more I would have done better to buy a 5900X I’m not sure how much I’m going to pay for it, but I’m sure it’s going to be a lot of fun. it’s not very pleasant very good cpu but frankly : buy a 5900X instead I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to get a 5800X, but I’m sure I’ll be able to get a 5900X.

I received this cpu this morning after having spent 2 hours showing and doing all the necessary updates (I advise to update the whole pc) I noticed that my procseur goes up to 4,8mhz if I have booster. I’ve been using the AMD app and it goes up to 4,950mhz which is simply amazing. I play live and my sound monitors the pc’s statuses at the same time so that the CPU doesn’t get tired of the temperature 35° in games 65° at the maximum frankly bravo to AMD at last show you the power of your CPU.

good processor, mounted on an MSI B550 Mortar with a Precision Boost to 4,85GHz cooled by a Celsius+ s28 (max temperature: 64°C, idle: 35°C) However I give a score of 8/10 because the compatibility between the B550 chipset and the Ryzen 5800x processor was not as announced by the manufacturer. I had to do a bios update.
