High-performance active noise reduction
Sony’s headphones offer high-performance noise reduction to accompany you on your commute, in the office or in noisy places. Four microphones capture ambient noise and then transmit it to the HD QN1 processor, which cancels it out to give you the best possible listening experience. This active noise reduction is adapted to your morphology and is optimised at high altitude (atmospheric pressure sensor).
Other functions are also available. TheAdaptive Sound Control, for example, adapts the settings according to your activity or location. The Ambient Sound mode lets you leave the outside noise behind and become aware of the world around you.
Life-changing features
In your daily life, the Sony WH-1000XM4 headset comes with handy features such as Quick Attention and Speak To Chat. The former allows you to instantly turn down the music by placing your hand over the headset to listen to an announcement or respond to a chat. The second feature automatically pauses playback as soon as you start talking. Playback starts again automatically when you finish talking.
Other sensors are also used for automatic play/pause if you remove/replace your headset on your head.

A fast charge function is available to provide an extra 5 hours of battery life with just 10 minutes of charging.
