Description

The Eaton 9PX5KIBP is designed for the protection of small and medium-sized data centres, computer rooms, infrastructure and industrial and commercial equipment. With its On Line Double Conversion technology, it reduces energy consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 40% while delivering 28% more power than any other UPS in its class. This makes it the perfect UPS for IT managers and/or system directors who are concerned about the energy and cooling savings they can achieve with this new range of UPSs.

Performance and Efficiency

Online double conversion topology. The Eaton 9PX inverter isolates the connected equipment from all disturbances of the electrical network by constantly regulating voltage and frequency.
Up to 95% efficiency in online double conversion mode and 98% in high efficiency mode. The 9PX has the highest efficiency in its class and reduces energy and cooling costs.
With a power factor of 0.9, the 9PX provides 28% more power in watts than most other inverters in its class.
With its convertible rack/tower format, the 9PX offers up to 5400W of power for 3U of height and 10kW for only 6U.

Flexibility of use

Its new multi-lingual LCD graphic display provides clear information on the status of the inverter. The display can be oriented to provide the best possible view in rack or tower configuration.
The 9PX can measure power consumption and manage kWh through the LCD display or through Intelligent Power, Eaton’s power management software.
Load segment control allows battery life to be reserved for critical equipment. It can also be used to remotely restart stalled IT equipment or perform sequential shutdowns and restarts.
The 9PX offers a USB port, serial port and dry contacts as standard, as well as an optional card slot (the network card is included as standard in Netpack versions).
It comes with Eaton’s power management software, Intelligent Power, which is compatible with all major OS, including virtual environments such as VMware and Hyper-V.

Availability and flexibility

Its internal bypass ensures continuity of service in the event of a UPS failure. An optional maintenance bypass (HotSwap MBP) (standard in HotSwap versions) allows the UPS to be changed without cutting power to the connected equipment.
To double its power, an Eaton 9PX can be connected in parallel with another 9PX using Eaton’s HotSync technology, at no extra cost at the time of initial purchase.
Intelligent battery management with Eaton’s ABM technology that recharges batteries only when needed: prevents battery corrosion and gives up to 50% longer battery life.
Its autonomy can be extended from a few minutes to several hours by installing external battery boxes (up to 12) that can be hot-swapped. These batteries are automatically detected by the UPS, without any user intervention.
